I see Lexi in my mind’s eye with a smiling face, she’s a happy girl. She shows up wearing a heart shaped tag on her collar. Helen confirms this. Helen tells me only that there is an issue she would like to correct. I ask Lexi what she feels the issue is. She sends me this picture; Helen is standing at the sliding glass door, Lexi is jumping up and down at the sliding glass door off the dining room, leading to the back yard and she wants Helen to open the door. I feel this excitement in my own body and I jump up like she is illustrating. I’m a kinesthetic learner and I find that psychic gifts often come to one in the person’s strongest learning style. Then I see her racing out to run along the fence line on the left side and ending at the left back corner charging and barking at the fence because there is a cat who lives on the other side. Lexi likes this very much! Helen tells me this is true, this is the conflict. She doesn’t want Lexi to bark so aggressively. Lexi feels this is a part of her “job” to protect the house. But Helen is ok if it’s less aggressive, now that she knows how much it means to Lexi. Lexi needs Helen to regularly walk the fence line and “own” the space. This act tells Lexi that Helen is interested and involved and this is not Lexi’s responsibility alone. Then Helen can thank and praise Lexi for alerting her to the presence of the cat and Lexi can “stand down” a bit.
