The Dog Who Ate Ice

The greyhound mix had bitten someone. I was in a phone consultation with her owner, H.  Derka showed me the situation, that the man had scents that were unfamiliar to her. Therefore was suspect. She was scared at the way he crept toward her even though it was his effort to not startle her. The man had an unfamiliar scent profile. Derka was afraid and his movements felt menacing to her. She showed me herself biting him on two of his fingers as he reached out to pet her. Her person confirmedthat Derka had bitten him on two fingers of his hand. I asked Derka if anything else like this had ever happened before. Derka showed me a picture of her growling at a little girl around 3-4 years old. I receive a vision of Derka growling a warning to the little girl and I could feel Derka’s fear. Her person confirmed this had happened with the little neighbor girl. I asked Derka what she needed when meeting people or in unfamiliar situations. She asked to be on a leash with her person holding her close and instructing people to not loom over her, but to lower their hand to the ground with fingers together. That was what she wanted in order to feel safe meeting new people. I asked her what she liked. I received a vision of a freezer door opening and a shape like an ice cube. Because I understood she wanted to put this in her mouth, I jumped to the conclusion it must be a frozen raw diet or something like that, but it was literally just ice cubes! Her person confirmed she had developed a recent obsession with them. Derka also showed me her favorite place to sit on her living room couch that sits against the front window. She likes to lean her head over the back and look out the window for her person’s return, which is the highlight of her day. Her person confirmed that is “her spot”.
