Little Dude Wanted to be Treated Like an Adult

Little Dude first appears in my mind’s eye as a Manx with no tail at all with cartoon-like lightening bolts leading towards the tail, then I see a tail that is bent over a couple vertebrae below the tip. I understand there is something about his tail which is noteworthy and ask if he has a bend at the tip of his tail. His person tells me that his tail was broken when she accidentally stepped on the tip of it, when he was a kitten. It broke the bone and Little Dude was showing me it had been terribly painful to him all the way along his entire tail to the pelvis. It was intact, but bent. Little Dude, showing me the tail not even there, gives me the sense he isn’t left with a lot of feeling in it. Sometimes I surprise myself at the strange words that come from my mouth. I’m connected with Little Dude and feel my mouth salivating and feel as though I am drinking from a baby bottle. I say, “I feel like I’m drooling and suckling”.  It was actually a sweet moment as I understood he was showing me how he drank from a bottle she gave him in the beginning. My heart feels his gratitude for her fulfilling that need he had to suckle and for nourishment. He shows me he sees her as his mother and that he has been rebellious as he has matured as a way to assert his independence, manliness, and maturity.  I see him in a box like thing kicking and pawing debris from the box onto the floor. She tells me he does this with the kitchen trash can. He likes to knock it over, then kick and paw everything out onto the floor. This makes her unhappy with him and he knows this, but he is still compelled to do it. We talk about how she can adjust the environment as a simple solution to help avoid some undesirable behaviors. In this instance, it’s easier to weight the trash can or put it in a cupboard, than try to keep the Adolescent cat out! I receive from LD the sensation that my fingers end in claws that feel very much like an extension of my fingers, an additional joint, nothing like a fingernail.  I feel his exhilaration in sinking those claws into the carpet and I feel a sensation as though I have claws and using my claw’s grip I propel myself repeatedly forward really fast! Little Dude sends me a visual of how he likes to sink his claws into the carpet and propel himself back and forth across the room at great speed. She validates he does this frequently, what she calls his, “zoomies”. He tells me he needs to be an adult male cat now and he needs to assert his independence and show his maturity. His zoomies are a way he is strengthening his claws given his indoor environment. We talked about a harness and leash so he might safely explore the outdoors and get some more exertion. Most kittens don’t stay with their mothers, so I tell him he is always going to stay with her and she will let him grow up and treat him in a more mature way now. Now I see in my mind’s eye, LD sitting at the bottom of the kitchen door which leads outside. I feel a thin fresh breeze from underneath the door and the thrill of fresh smells of the outdoors wafting from underneath. I describe this and she says there is no weather stripping under the kitchen door and he loves to sit there and smell the outside, including the neighbor’s cat. Little Dude sends me a feeling of enjoyment if he could see and smell outside. So I ask if the window could be cracked during the day sometimes, so he might smell and see the outside at the same time and I convey this to his person.
